Mary Faye und ich haben uns nach 4 Wochen hier wiedergetroffen und zusammen mit den "Moonshinern" und Gaelic Storm gefeiert. Es ging echt total multikulturell zu. Natürlich waren viele Iren und Amerikaner mit Irischer Abstammung in der Stadt. Und was viele vielleicht nicht wissen: In Milwaukee leben sehr viele Deutsche. Und ich hatte meine Mary dabei, die aus Canada kommt. Also eine wirklich bunte Mischung.
Das Wetter war bis auf einen Abend traumhaft für ein Festival Wochenende. Tagsüber konnte man sich hervorragend auf dem Gelände aufhalten. Die Musiker waren durchweg großartig.
Und als besonderes Highlight ging es abends nach dem Gig von Gaelic Storm ins Hilton zur After-Show Party. Ein Glück für uns, dass die "Moonshiner" mit der Band befreundet sind.
Es bekommt sicher nicht jeder die Chance Patrick von GS schmusend mit einem aufblasbaren Hai zu sehen.... jetzt schon... hier sind die Bilder:
***retarded english version*** I had one of the best weekends in Milwaukee at the Irish Fest. Mary Faye and I have met here again after 4 weeks and we celebrated together with the "Moonshiner" and Gaelic Storm. It was totally multicultural. Of course, many Irishmen and Americans with Irish relatives were in the city. What many of you may not know: In Milwaukee life a lot of Germans. And I had my Mary with me, coming from Canada. So a realy mixed group.
The weather was great (instead of one night) - fantastic for a festival weekend. During the day, you could stay at the festival area. The musicians were all great.
And as a special highlight of the evening we went after the Gaelic Storm gig to the Hilton to the after-show party. Lucky for us that the "Moonshiner" are friends with the band.
It certainly does not get any chance to see Patrick GS cuddling with an inflatable shark .... now you do... Here are the pics:
